Baby Conley is Getting Bigger

So today we had our second ultrasound to close out the first tri-mester and everything looked awesome. YEAH, sigh of relief.

So excited to have another confirmation that our little baby is growing as expected and even gave us a little wave. Too early yet to determine the sex but Rich is still standing by his prediction of a little boy Conley. I guess we will have to wait for another 4 or 5 weeks before we will know that.

So they tell me I should get some energy back - can someone tell me when that is coming because I could really use it =)

New Doctor -- first visit

We had our first appointment with a new Doctor -- or I guess I should say the office where we are going as we never did meet an actual doctor. It is a WomenHealth center and seems to be a factory for pregnant women based upon the people in the waiting room. Our visit didn't yield much in terms of news as they just gave us some docs, introduced us to their practice, and did a quick check on mommy-to-be. The people were actually very nice and we are now set up for a few more appointments. Next Friday they are doing an ultrasound. Val also has to give some blood -- which is one of her least favorite things to do in life.

The practice is actually switching hospital affiliations in April from Saint to Lowell General. This isn't a big deal to us as both are in city, but Saints is walkable and would have been more ideal. I do hear good things about Lowell General though. Please post a message if you know anything about these places.

So for today, we don't know much more in terms of any medical results. But all certainly seems to be going well. We are heading to NYC for the weekend, but will first stop off at my sisters house in CT to go "shopping" in her attic or basement. She has a crib that we are planning to take -- along with anything else she is willing to donate to Baby Conley. I have no pride when it comes to saving money.

Waiting...

So we are just waiting as the weeks pass sloooooowly by. Waiting until we are passed our first tri-mester and have the opportunity for our second doctor's visit. I feel like I am starting to gaina little more of my energy back. I mean look it is almost 11pm and I am awake - now that is progress!!! Both Rich and I are extremely excited at the possibility of becoming parents - we want this more than anything but also patiently waiting and reserving some of the excitement until we get through this first tri-mester. I am 11 weeks and 2 days as of today so not long now. I have not to fit into my clothes...not a great feeling but if that means a healthy little one is growing then I will certainly suffer through the maternity clothes shopping which I have begun to do a little bit of. Even Rich has had the great fortune of tagging along for some of that...LOL - he is a great sport and very supportive. So that is all there really is right now to write about - we are just playing the waiting game and praying each day that our little one has better luck than the Patriot's did on Superbowl Sunday. Keep us in your prayers for a little longer =)
