Almost 18 Weeks

So today we are 17 weeks and 6 days along. It has been incredible so far. I am finally starting to feel a little more energetic during the day but still run out of steam early in the evening. If I make it to 11pm that is a miracle. We are scheduled to find out the sex of little baby Conley on 4/4 and can not wait. Last week at my Dr. Appt I got to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time and that was just absolutely amazing...I also got to hear a few kicks....something to look forward to feeling not too long from now. I have had some requests to post belly pics...so we are working on that. We'll have to see what I approve of for showing to the world.

Baby Room

We have been busy trying to get the baby's room painted and fixed up. We still have some work to do and probably will buy a circular rug for middle of room and also a changing table to match the crib the Feeley's loaned us. It has been fun doing this and am sure we will continue to update until he/she arrives. (CLICK PICTURE TO SEE FULL ALBUM)

Baby Barry?

Last night Val and I went to see Barry Manilow at the Las Vegas Hilton. We both agree that he was fantastic and exceeded our expectations -- he sounded great and had lots of energy (still a bit of a perv with his pelvic grinds and ass shaken, but it is a trademark and he is still cool). He did a fantastic rendition of Mandy where he sang a duet with himself -- essentially it was a 1976 Video of him playing in background with him singing over and along with the video. Anyway, baby Conley got exposed to Barry and he seemed to enjoy himself greatly. Unfortunately, he lost $20 on the slots. Val is very tired and is trying to catch up with all the time changes. We still think 'Liam' is our boys name, but we are all over the place on the girls names -- fortunately we still have plenty of time.

My Wife is the Best!

I'm feeling very emotional today as I need to fly out to Las Vegas tonight and lately I've hated to fly. Adding to all my anxiety is also this new baby we are bringing into the world and how much I want to be around to see him or her. I realize flying is safe, but never-the-less it freaks me out and makes me very nervous. Anyway, as I get ready to leave for the airport I wanted to express how great my wife is -- I am amazed at how diligent she is with following all the doctor's advice on eating, drinking, and living life. She has unselfishly given of herself to ensure this baby has the greatest start in life possible. I do realize many other mothers do this too, but seeing it first hand makes me appreciate that all the more. I just want everyone to know how proud and appreciative I am of my wife for all that she is doing for our child. Valerie you are the best and I love you!
