Baby Crib

We finally got the crib parts and got it assembled. It took all my energy to follow these instructions and get it right so Liam doesn't fall out or through the thing. As mentioned before this is same crib our nieces Mollie and Summer had when they were babies, so it is neat to have that family connection already. Inside the crib you can see the beginnings of Liam's soon to be spoiled life as these are bunch of gifts from Grampy Terry and Grammy Jenny.

Liam Enjoy's Jameson

We are over in Dublin, Ireland for a week thanks to Val's work. We have a few days together before she is off to the office, and this is from our trip to the Jameson distillary. She had to take a little taste for Liam, but dad HAD to drink the rest. (Ah, the sacrifices we have to make)

Baby Conley - First 20 Weeks

Here is a little compilation of pictures and video on the first 20 weeks of this process. I apologize for music selection, but I can't figure a way to use itunes music as they do something funky with copyright.

A Mother's Intuition

WOW!!!

Today was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had. To see that tiny little baby, all his tiny feaures and organs. Amazing. And as if we were not blessed enough to know that so far we are having a very healthy baby - we also got confirmation of my intuition from January - our precious little baby is a......BOY!!!

What a special gift. We are thrilled. And of course as if Rich wasn't already going to be the best dad on the face of the earth he is already welled up thinking and talking about the first time he can take him to a red sox game and buy him his first set of golf clubs.

What a day! Mark this one down as the best day so far of our lives. Welcome little Baby Liam. We love you so much already.

It's a BOY

Got the confirmation that it is a boy. Still doing more scans but it is official.

Genetic Counseling

So first step was for them to have us meet with 2 young ladies who educated us on genetics. It was scary as I wasn't sure if they knew something was wrong. But in talking it through the tests Val has taken actually indicate a lower risk of problems than that naturally attributed to age. They also asked family history questions and oddly seemed most interested in why my brother doesn't have children. Anyway we are back in the waiting room.

Waiting.... Waiting..

Ok I like this as I feel like a real blogger typing away on my PDA as if the world is waiting on every update. Here is Val trying to be patient.

It's a....

Sorry not yet. Val is busy filling out paperwork again. I swear she is going to lose it.... She is workflowing out their system now and will have improved business processes by sunset. There is so much that is inefficient in these operations.

The Day of Gender

Ok.. it is a bit of a Christmas Morning effect as today we should be able to find out if we are having a boy or girl. We have an ultrasound around 1:30 this afternoon. We are both thinking 'boy', but that probably means 'girl'. We will be happy either way and are just eager to know so we can buy appropriately. Just need to figure out if we need the regular Red Sox apparel or the 'pink hat' type. We will post to this blog as soon as we know! (As if all of you are anxiously waiting like we are and will be hitting the 'refresh' button all afternoon before you can start your weekend. We are becoming a couple that thinks everyone should be as interested in all the baby details as we are. )

10 fingers, 10 toes, and healthy is the primary objective.
