Gadget Crazy

So I am using my baby boy as an excuse to get toys and gadgets. For real men that might mean table saws or drill presses -- but for me it was a new computer, web camera, and some Internet 2.0 stuff. Now Liam is equipped with his own webcam so we can share him off to the world --ok maybe just family and friends -- especially those in Ohio, Connecticut, and Florida. We will also be able to use this as a backup baby monitor and use our laptops to check in on him while he is sleeping. All this will stream right to this blog site so you all can see him too (and mom this doesn't mean to call me when you see/hear him crying every time). I also added a new chatter box on the right hand side so you can all chat in real time -- try it out as it cost me $20 for the year. I'm hoping it is just family/friends and we avoid the perverts, creeps, and jerks. If it gets weird we may need to make some changes. Anyway, just something that allow me to play with computer toys with the hope of further connecting all of you to us and Liam.

p.s. We have about 3 months to do. It is still too far away for me, so maybe I'll need to buy some more toys! :-) Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Mother's Day Weekend

Baby Liam got mamma a vase of flowers to thank her for all the work she is doing to provide him with a good home. Here is a picture of Val before work today. We also were fortunate to be able to celebrate with my mom and dad as they came up to the house for a Sunday dinner. They also wanted to see the baby's room as they hadn't seen it yet. On Saturday, we had a chance to go to Pat an Cheri Gaffney's house in Rutland and got to see flocks of children including Lucht's, Olsen's, Allaire's, Johnson's, and Perry's ... what is amazing is how many boys there are in the group as everyone seems to have boys (about 5:1 ratio).

He's Strong

So Liam is kicking away - at 23 weeks now he is on the move all the time and just loves to kick his mama. Especially when it is time to lay down and try and sleep =). Rich finally got to feel one of his kicks this week so that was exciting. We also had another doctor's appointment and everything checked out great. Just four months to go so the countdown is on! We can hardly wait for Liam to arrive. We spent a couple of hours last weekend finishing up our registeries and Liam has already started receiving gifts. He is very excited for his showers which are coming up in June - he will have one in OH and one in MA. Based on his activity in the womb I think Mama is really hoping someone buys the tummy time activity pad!!!
