Happy Halloween. Liam is here as a Peapod and lasted all of 90 seconds in it. He had no interest in being in that outfit, but was much happier as just a boy in a Halloween shirt. We gave out candy to over 300 of Merrimack Valley's youth and elderly... yes we had 60+ year old woman trick-or-treat at our house. It was a very nice evening so we could sit outside and see all the adorable kids come through in their outfits. Lots of Spidermans this year.

2 Month Visit to the Doctor
Well today was Liam's 2 month checkup at the Doctor. He did fantastic - the Doctor was very happy with his progress. He received a round of shots and did well. He is a bit tired and fussy this afternoon from them but all in all it went better than I would have imagined. Much easier on me and him than I had envisioned =). He is now 22 1/4 inches (was 21 at birth) and 12pds 4 oz (was 8pds 10 oz at birth). He seems to grow and change every day. Not only is he getting bigger, he is also becoming more interested in his toys and is better about sitting and laying on his own a bit during the day. He still very much likes his cuddle time with Mom and Dad (as do we!!!) but becoming a little more independent.
It has been such a blessing to be able to stay home with him these first few months of his life.

Mollie and Summer Babysit Liam in NY
Last Saturday night we were in NY city for a dinner to celebrate Val's promotion to Partner. It was a great evening and we were lucky to have Mollie and Summer come to the city and babysit. They brought their dad along too, but only because they needed a ride.

Trying to talk
Liam keeps trying to get his vocal cord going but can't quite get it together.

Dr. Appt Update
On Tuesday, Liam had his one month visit with the Dr. He did wonderfully. He now weighs in at 9lbs and 13 ounces - so he has gained over a pound since his birthday. This is great news!!! He has started to get a bit of a pudgy belly which is just too cute. He also grew a bit in length so it won't be long before he is out of those newborn clothes and moving into a new set of outfits!! He will return next month to start his series of vaccinations - the Dr. says it will be harder on me than on him and I can believe it will be since I hate to see him unhappy at all.
So all in all - we are doing well. I am really enjoying being home with him and having this opportunity to be 100% dedicated to spending time with him. We miss Rich each day as he has returned full time back to work. Being the great dad we all knew he would be he gets up with him early in the morning to spend time with him before work and wants to hold him as soon as he walks in the door after work. He also does the last feeding of the evening before bed and get's Liam ready each night for bedtime. Liam and I are very lucky to have such a great and hands on Daddy!!
This weekend we are heading to Newport, RI for a night. Rich's parents are there this week on vacation and have offered for us to come and stay. The weather is supposed to be nice sunny fall weather so it will be great to get Liam some fresh air after several days of rain this week. Then at the end of next week we will be heading to Ohio for our visit with Liam's Grandparents, cousins and Aunties there! We should have some good stories to tell after the next couple of weeks of travels =)
