Mamma and Dadda

It isn't so much that he's saying mamma and dadda as he's said that for a few weeks.  Rather, more the fact that he says them with such love and excitement these days.  He really knows how to make you feel good with his big yells for mamma followed by big hugs.   He wakes up and is quickly asking for dadda (as he's sleeping with mamma since the house is a disaster from bathroom remodeling work going on for the last month & his is the only dust free bedroom.

At school, we just made it through a full week without any biting incidents.  This is probably the first time that has happened in over a month.   It isn't that he's all that mean, but somehow sees biting as a way to get some attention --- when we yell at him, he laughs.  Hopefully this passes quickly.

Overall, he is very aware of the English language and seems to understand quite a bit.  He answers questions with very emphatic Yeaaaah or Noooooooo.
Val: Do you want another hot dog?
Liam:  Yeaaaah

Val: Do you want to take a bath?
Liam: Nooooooo

Liam is starting to like TV a litte bit and not just when we are in the car.  He won't watch much, but he does like to order up some "Elmo", "Monkey" (Curious George), or "Mickey".   We also throw in some Bob the Builder and a little Thomas too.

And this is another Florida picture Shawnas sent us.  Liam and Summer were great buddies!

Disney World and other Orlando

It wasn't the warmest weather, but we made the most of it and had a great time.

Liam loves his cousins

Liam's cousins Mollie and Summer (pictured here) have been having lots of fun together over the last few days.  The weather hasn't been all that great, but seeing them all play together has really made the trip great.  We were at Disney World on Wednesday and had a good time riding the small kid rides.  Liam's favorite was "Its a Small World" and he also seemed to really like the parade and any of the signing and dancing.   The only bad experience was Peter Pan as it was dark and little scary.

Orlando - Day 1

We decided to go to Orlando as part of our annual visit to Florida.  We always come down to see Nana and Grampy Conley.    Shawna and the girls are also coming down, so we will have all the Conley grandkids on site later today and then grandparents up tomorrow.

Today we went to Animal Kingdom and had a nice day.  The park was not very crowded as the weather is cool (50's).   We got to see everything we wanted without much wait at all.   Safari is probably the best part, but the Lion King and Nemo show was fun too.   As expected (and warned) Liam was scared at "A Bugs Life" and so was every other kid his age that was there.   Liam was great and we had fun with him there.  Hopefully later in the week when we go to Disney World he'll be good too.
